Is the sherpa pet carriers too small for my puppy?
Question by Alice C: Is the sherpa pet carriers too small for my puppy?
I bought one of those carriers for my puppy because he is going to be on the plane with me when we fly to Anchorage. I followed the measurements of buying the right size for him which is a medium…but how much room should he have to move around? He can move around in it from one end to the other. He also spins in it sometimes and other times he is just on one side…. but he looks pretty cramped to me. So how much room is he supposed to have? Maybe he’s just not used to it? I just feel sorry for him.

He should be fine – they can safely be used on cats and puppies/dogs up to about 15 lbs. If your puppy is larger then that, he will have to fly in cargo.

it sound like it its the perfect size don’t worry about it so much i have 2 dog and we have traveled out of the country more than 5 times and they get use to it right away plus if its dark hell fall asleep super fast good luck
Most of the airlines have rules that the container MUST fit under the seat in front of you and the dog MUST be able to stand up & tirn around comfortably. If he can’t do this then it’s too small.
