Those would be wonderful questions to ask the airline.
Call their 1-800 number and ask them…
What do you think? Answer below!

You can go to the specific airlines website and find information for having a dog ride in-cabin with you. There is a fee for transporting a dog either way (incabin or in cargo) and you have to pay the fee for each leg of the trip (before departing each way). There is not that much difference in the fees. Personally, I would never ship my dog. Being away from home is stressful enough on an animal. I would never add to that stress by putting him in the cargo hold of an airplane. Poor baby! I would much rather pay the extra fee and know that my baby was safe and sound with me where I could comfort him and make sure he is well. Don’t feed the dog within a couple hours of flying, that way he won’t get sick. Make sure you give him a bath before you get on the plane, so he doesn’t offend the other pasengers. Take some kibble with you incase he does get hungry. Very small puppies can suffer from low blood sugar rather quickly and the results can be devastating. Good luck!
typically yes there is still a fee for flying your pet as carry on..
its ussually about $ 50-100 per flight to fly a pet as carry-on.. where as it costs around $ 100-200 per flight to fly as cargo.. or around $ 300 to just ship the pet by itself.
You can get more specifics by contacting the airline you plan to use.
If the airline you are going on allows it, your dog should go under the seat. he is way too little to be put down at the bottom and will not be able to stand the cold temperature. I believe its about 30 degrees. Call the airline and they will be able to tell you a whole lot better than anyone here.
