Question by Miss Bit(h: must travel with dog on bus, but how?
are dogs allowed on greyhound buses?
Me and my dad will be moving from CA to Iowa and we need to know if our 12 pound dog can be placed in a carrier to be moved with us.
anyone know if this is possible?
Have any of you traveled with a pet out of state on a greyhound bus?

yes he can be in a cage
What the hell is in Iowa besides corn fields and meth labs.
Call Greyhound
The BEST piece of advice to listen to at this time is to CALL GreyHound Bus Services .. and ASK not only their Policy for Small Animals .. but also if there is an ADDITIONAL Charge too. (Most of the time .. there is a requirement that they be in Secure Carriers).
Greyhound does not allow it unless it is a service animal. There are no commercial bus lines that will transport pets
The first guy is trying to be funny; but he actually hit the nail on the head. You get a coat for the dog that says “Service Dog”. You don’t have to specify what kind of service. Don’t do the blind act. I saw on t.v.; this guy that flew with his service dog. The dog relieved his stress! Still a service dog.
