Question by Regina Contreras: What is the process when a pet dog enters Costa Rica?
I am doing a one way ticket through American Airlines to Costa Rica. My 20lb Italian Greyhound will be accompanying me. After we land in San Juan-What will I expect from the people there? Will I be charged any $ and/or paper work for my pet? We are moving there.

Question by plumeria1023: Does anyone know of a good carrier on wheels that would fit two medium-sized, one-year-old cats?
I need to take my two cats to the vet for their annual checkup, and it’s less costly to take them at the same time because I would be charged only one exam fee. I have back problems, so I am looking for a carrier with wheels that can house two. The vet is only a couple of blocks, but I can’t carry both cats.

There are a couple options at Petco. They are a bit pricey but would make your vet trip a breeze. The least expensive is:

The picture shows it as a backpack but it has wheels so you can pull it. If you’re looking for more room you will have to go up in price. Some other options are . . .

There are many other styles on their website and i’m sure there are many others at different pet specialty stores. Look at carriers for dogs, that what mine were for, so you will get more room to fit both cats.

Question by Check me out: How safe is it to fly a cat from Bangkok to Chicago on KLM?
He will be travelling from Bangkok to Amsterdam (13 hours) with an overnight stay in the Schipol pet hotel. From there he will travel from Amsterdam to Chicago (9 hours). How safe is this if he is flying on KLM in cargo? I know that KLM is one of the best airlines to use for flying pets but im concerned about the freezing temperatures at the stops and also the flight duration.

I have used KLM 4 times and never had a problem. At the hotel they are checked by a vet and if there is a problem the cat doesn’t go on. They will make sure it is healthy to fly. They pet and feed and water the animals while there. I trusted them to ship 4 cats at 4 different times. The cats that came here came out purring and snuggling.

And they are climate controlled

Question by worleyblue: Is it possible to fly with a large dog in the passenger cabin of the plane?
I am moving from USA to AUS and will be taking my Great Dane with me. A typical dane, she suffers from anxiety and I fear flying in the cargo area may be too much for her. Is there a way to qualify her as “special needs?” Thanks for your input, I’m really worried about this!
