Question by sweet333: Where can I purchase a nice pet carrier for my kitten?
I am taking her on an airplane-we’re flying Southwest-and I’m not sure where I can find the right size carrier. It must be these dimensions:
* Window Seat: 19″L x 14″W x 8.25″H
* Middle Seat: 19″L x 19″W x 8.25″H
* Aisle Seat: 19″L x 14″W x 8.25″H

Petco or Petsmart is the best place I’ve always found pet carriers. If you’re looking for something cheaper you might be able to find something in the newspaper or on Craigslist

Question by Paranormal Kitty: Can you buy an extra seat on an airplane for your pet (inside a carrier of course)?
I refuse to put my cat in the cargo area. Are there any airlines that let you buy an extra seat for your pet?
Oh, and it’s in the US – Tulsa to Los Angeles.
I know it’s not too far to drive but the company is going to give me free plane tickets if they hire me.

depends on the airline. My puppy came on an airplane, but was shipped on a special cargo type of comparment (this was when she was sent from the breeder).

I looked into taking my cat somewhere and southwest and jetblue wouldn’t do it so I had to drive. My roommate took her cat with her tho and I know there are some places that do it. If security has tightened since the christmas attempt I wouldn’t definitely call rather than just trusting answers on here.

Is it safe to take a puppy on an airplane?

Question by : Is it safe to take a puppy on an airplane?
Ok I found a puppy and it’s under 35lbs and looking around because the dog is in Maryland and I’m in Illinois I’d have to fly to get the dog. I was just wondering if it would harm the dog in anyway to take it on a plane? The puppy is 8 weeks old and it would go onboard with me in a small pet carrier and would not have to be tranquilized or anything, Thank You Southwest for that!!!

Nothing will happen to the dog if it is on a plane. It will just get a little afraid during the travel journey.

Question by : Is there a suitable pet carrier for taking my dog in an airplane cabin with me?
My dog is small (barely 17 lbs) but fairly tall- a foot and a half. Can anyone recommend a carrier that is cabin-appropriate but won’t smush him? I won’t take him if he has to be checked, it’s too cold and too stressful. Any price is fine. Thank you!!!

I wouldn’t trust the handle on the 2nd one, just put it on a cart and wheel it in.
