Airline Approved Pet Carrier?

I’m looking at travelling with a small dog on an Airplane this coming June. I am looking at purchasing a soft kennel so that my bichon frise can travel in cabin with me. Does anyone know of a good soft kennel to purchase that would be no bigger than Soft-sided
Height: 27 cm (10.5 in)
Width: 40 cm (15.5 in)
Length: 55 cm (21.5 in) & weigh no more than 10 kg (22 lb)
(pet and carrier combined)

I’ve looked at several ones online but would hate to buy something show up for my flight and find out we can’t go because we don’t have the right carrier.

Thank You :)

Dog carrier for a cocker spaniel puppy?

Hi everyone, we just got a new cocker spaniel puppy (12 weeks) and we need to take him to the vet for a checkup…unfortunantly the vet is far away and that means we have to take our new pup on the NYC subway for the first time and they require he be in a dog carrier. His crate at home is a wire metal one that will not work for the subway…so we’re looking for suggestions on what to get…we want it to be big enough that he can continue using it as an adult (no since in buying a new one in 2 months!) and it doesn’t need to be that crazy expensive since we’re really only going to take him on the subway for his vet visits and won’t be using it that much. Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Thanks, but I meant any particular good/cheap brands that I can get – and any idea on dimensions for a full grown cocker (a puppy do badly even though it’s too big for him at the moment will he?…it’s only a few months before he’ll grow into it…)

What type of Pet Carrier Should I use?

I’m flying home for Christmas, and I need to get a pet carrier that is FAA approved. Can anyone suggest a certain brand or type that is best? I’ll have a 6 month old Scottish Terrier puppy (I assume by then she’ll be 16lbs, if she’s 10 lbs now), and I want to make she stays comfortable, but I want to make suer the carrier is easy to carry around. Also, this carrier will be her crate when I’m at home, so should I use the hard plastic type or the soft type? Any experienced pet travelers out there??
