Question by ♥ Animal Luvr ♥: Do you think my bunny will chew through a Sherpa backpack pet carrier? He has to go to the vet.?
SO I don’t have a hard plastic carrier big enough for my mini lop. I have a small one which I used for my cat, but the bunny freaks out and hits his head in it.

My bunny is getting neutered now on April 8th, and I need something to carry him in. I have a Sherpa Backpack carrier which I’ve used for my cats when traveling. My bunny likes it, its pretty cozy. But do you think he would chew through the nylon screen part in the carrier? I know he could if he really worked at it, but what are the chances a bunny would have interest in doing so? I want him to be comfy and happy while on his way to the vet. Hes not much of a traveler and even hates to be picked up. His little heart pounds the few times I have had to pick him up. He likes for people to come see him at ground level, then hes affectionate and happy. Its gonna be so stressful for him.
Thanks for the chew toy tip. Yeah I think an abundance of parsley and a seagrass square might do the trick.

I don’t think it should be an issue.

Does he normally chew on fabric, like blankets, etc.? Also, it may be a little difficult for him to get purchase on the material.

You don’t have too much to worry about.

Put a favorite chew toy in there with him so that he has something to do and isn’t so scared, and to divert his attention from chewing else where.

Question by Candyland: How can i teach m dog to stay in his pet carrier??? PLEASE !?
I have a 6 months old yorkie and he is petrified from the pet carrier. I have the one that is black , from cloth , he fits perfectly into it and its like a backpack so that i can be comfortable too. But the thing is that my dog cries so much in it , i cant leave him in there for a long time. I have tried to take him for small rides , living him in for 5-10 minutes, but as soon as i close it , he starts freaking out, bitting the crate, and crying. Eventually i will have to travel ( Im from Europe ) so i need to train him to sit still and be comfortable in it.
Please help !

Make him love it. Associate lovely things with the carrier. Put treats in it, praise him when he does in, and when you let him out give him a special treat. Put in one of his favourite toys/blankets so it has a familiar smell.

Also, don’t close him in it until he feels really comfortable in it. Google “crate training” for more tips.

Question by Drew C: Does anyone know where I could purchase a dog backpack carrier?
I’m a guy that has just purchased a little Yorkie puppy and I wanted to know if there were any backpacks that would hold a dog in them. I looked around and all I could find were purse-like carriers. If you could please tell me where I could buy a dog backpack, I would appreciate it.

I think your stuck with the purse carriers, face it Yorkies are kinda girlie dogs…. You could design one and make lots of money, or get a dog that dosen’t need to be carried?
