Question by MoonStar: How much would it coast to ship my cat from Ohio to Arizona?
I live in Ohio, and my husband is stationed in Arizona, I will be joining him in a few months, but the people taking care of my cat can’t do it anymore. So how much to send the cat to him in Arizona? Any information will be really appreciated!!

If you ship Continental or Delta it will probably cost you about $ 250 to ship by cargo. Goes by weight of the animal and carrier combined. And the airlines will not ship if the temps in BOTH places is not at least 45 degrees and the high temps cannot be over 80 degrees.

Question by Check me out: How safe is it to fly a cat from Bangkok to Chicago on KLM?
He will be travelling from Bangkok to Amsterdam (13 hours) with an overnight stay in the Schipol pet hotel. From there he will travel from Amsterdam to Chicago (9 hours). How safe is this if he is flying on KLM in cargo? I know that KLM is one of the best airlines to use for flying pets but im concerned about the freezing temperatures at the stops and also the flight duration.

I have used KLM 4 times and never had a problem. At the hotel they are checked by a vet and if there is a problem the cat doesn’t go on. They will make sure it is healthy to fly. They pet and feed and water the animals while there. I trusted them to ship 4 cats at 4 different times. The cats that came here came out purring and snuggling.

I have never taken my dog anywhere with me and I want to know how they fare? Do they travel in luggage compartment? Do they get smooth trip? I know there is probably a cost but I’m mostly worried about his comfort. Thanks advance for answers.

I traveled with a cat once, long ago. They put him in a small kennel and he rode all the way under my seat, crying all the time, lol.

We once sent my husband’s grandma’s dog to California from Michigan. We had to buy a special crate and he rode in the baggage compartment. Of course, I don’t know how he felt about it, but Grandma said he was one happy camper when he finally got there and saw her. I imagine it gets cold down there, so maybe some comforting toys and a pillow would be nice for your dog to take along on the journey. Dogs are so resilient.

You need papers from your vet stating the cat has all her vaccinations and you pay usually 50.00 each way.
