Ok soon we are going to get a miniature pinscher puppy. Can please check my list of things we going to need?
1. crate and water bottle
2. leash and collar
3. food and water bowls
4. food
5. sweater
6. chew toys, balls, treats, bones, toys
7. pet carrier
i cant think of anything else but im sure im missing something
And any other tips you have about careing for puppies and dogs in general would be helpful too!
he was going to poop in the yard but i hear those pads are scented to attract them to pee there so good idea.
and it would be on a leash of course when we take it out toi poop. thats what the sweater is for too, to keep it warn since min pins have short fur, but of course its going to be a cute sweater =]

I have a brand new chocolate lab puppy who is alomst 12 weeks old 3 weeks ago we go her and brought her right to the vet for a check up and shots. that visit is when it all started she had Giardia, coccidia(sp) and tapeworms. 3 weeks later the coccidia and tapeworms are gone, however the Giardias’ first round of of meds did nothing. Our vet now has her on Panacur (sp) but has warned us that it is looking as she will be a carrier. I am at a loss of what to do at this point, he told us she can never be around other dogs and small children. Is this true if she is a carrier of it???
any information or advice would be great!
To follow up on a one of the answers. we ahve been in contact with the breeders, they told us we could send a bill they will "see about helping" as far as the drugs shes on she already had a dose of the metronidazole, that didn’t work according to the vet. Does that mean she is never going to get better if that meds didn’t work??

On Tuesday i will be picking up my new puppy from the airport. He will be flying on American Airlines from MO to NY. This is the first time i’ve had an animal sent to me via plane travel. I would like to know what other items besides my photo ID and the confirmation to the airport. Do I keep the crate that he will come in or do i have to bring my own pet carrier to bring him home. Also is there anything I should bring for him. I want to make him feel comfy as it is a long flight and he is still a baby (8weeks).
P.S. can he get sick from the plane ride?
