It all depends on the stronger gene and breed of dog. If Labs (sounds like the case) you could have a mixed batch.

Question by Turtle: When should I get a puppy?
We are currently in a townhouse and will be moving in the next 4-5 months into a new home which is being built now. If we get a puppy before the move, it will be about 3-6 weeks before. I am worried about “accidents” in the new home, but am also worried about moving the puppy to 3 different homes in a matter of weeks. I need your opinions please! FYI-the puppy will most likely be a Lab or Golden Retriever. Thanks!

Puppies need a stable place to attack themselves to at first. I have a golden retreiver, and we bought him at 6 weeks old. He had a little trouble getting used to the new house. If your worried about accidents, keep the puppy in an un-carpeted area w/ baby gates to keep it there until it’s potty trained.

my dog’s 10 years old, and i hav another puppy who has just suffered parvovirus. Is the virus contagious to the 10-year old?
I cleaned the house with desinfectant, but still worried.
He’s a very healthy dog, and I gave him vitamin too.

Yes it is contagious, especially for puppies, elderly dogs and those with a supressed immune system.

Make sure the disinfectant will kill viruses or else you can clean as much as you like and it will make no difference.

If your 10 year old is up to date with vaccines and healthy then you will most likely be safe.
