Hello! My pup tested positive for distemper several weeks ago and is currently doing wonderful! She was given her first set of shots when she was at the shelter (8weeks old) and has not had any other shots since then because the doctor did want to lower her immune system by giving her, her second set of puppy series. She is now about 24 weeks old and has been only in our yard and home due to risks of getting others illness like parvo. My mother visits often with her two older dogs (up to date on shots) and the vet said that was fine as long as they had their distemper shots. Do you think that these dogs could be carriers though of other virus/bacteria infections like parvo or something??? My pup will be getting her second series of shots finally this weekend so she will not come in contact with these dogs till the first weeknd of july. What are your thoughts……do you think they can be a carrier of something, even if they are up to date on their shots???

I’m taking my cat to the vet this week end to have him neutered, and they say to bring him in either a pet carrier or a pillow case. I have pillow cases, if I use that will he be scarred? He’s never been outside of the apartment since we got him 6 months ago. Some people tell me that he will be more comfortable in a pillow case because he wont have people looking at him and stuff..but it seems cruel
I have a Maltese puppy who is 6 months old now. We want to take him from U.S to India by flight next month. My questions are…
1) Will he be allowed to travel at this age? He weighs 8 pounds.
2) Will he be allowed under passenger seat or in cargo?
3) What are the certificates he need from the vet?
4) What are the documents he need (like passport, air ticket etc). And from where can we get these documents? How much does it cost for pet travel?
5) What are the requirements for pet carrier, food, sedative etc…?
It would be of great help if any one provide me this information. Any link for the websites will also be very helpful.
